Bristol Palin's Striptease 'Dancing With The Stars' Debut (VIDEO)

First Posted: 09/21/10 10:02 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 06:45 PM ET

Bristol Palin made her debut on 'Dancing With the Stars' Monday night, doing a cha-cha with partner Mark Ballas. She began her performance in a sparkly skirt suit, which she quickly tore off to reveal a red fringed mini-dress underneath.

Bristol previously said that her costume would be the "most conservative" on the show because "That's how I am and that's how I want to dress."

Sarah Palin, contrary to reports, was not in the audience to cheer her on.

Great and fitting choice of song - but she won't be winning any prizes for dancing.

Actually she was an office manager at a dermatologist office when she got the call...try educating yourself a little more before you make blatantly wrong and ignorant comments.

So worried about that ... has the office closed without her? And she claims she went to college? What degree did she earn? Back to that dematologist's office ... who is the new gopher fetching the coffee?

What an embarrassing performance. The girl danced like she was in a bar after a dozen beers.

I just wouldn't expect from someone who dances like that to support abstinence. of course, she is free to dance whatever way she wants although it looks cheap for my taste. but it just doesn't feel right to dance in a suggestive way if you are honestly against sex out of marriage. she just seems very confused. OK, she is young. but it's not just her. during one interview she says, "abstinence is not realistic. sex is a reality among my age group." and Sarah says "oh, life happens" about her daughter's teenage pregnancy. then they happily go on an abstinence tour together no one calls them on their hypocrisy.

I am annoyed when I see things that, in my opinion, doesn't count as news on HuffPost. but as long as masses in this country keep falling in love with erratic behavior of some folksy people who only stir feelings and have no real philosophy, and try to vote them to the highest office that will influence the faith of the whole country... yes, this is news.

I'm no fan of the Palins, but I think your comment is unfair to Bristol and not really relevant to the article.

.... read the article and tell me it's not relevent .... it's sarah palin who continues to be unfair to her daughter - using bristol as a prop to advance her media agenda to stay in the public eye is not only sick it's transparent ....

it's spot on and to the point - bristol is just another political prop - sarah and the fox news owners are the ones being unfair to bristol ... and bristol allows herself to be used for profits ... the media has mediawhores who appear to do anything for money

Bristol is quite beautiful IMO. I'm not a Republicanâ„¢ or Democratâ„¢, so I can look at this objectively without the hate some people have here.

How lovely of you.  Really.

I heartily agree with your assesment, AmigaMan, and even though I am a Republican [though not a trademarked one... Haha : ) ], and've always liked and repected this young lady's mother, and had definitely previously gotten a nice impression of Bristol Palin herself, from the certain things I'd heard her say about herself, and her life [She always struck me as a very "real", down to earth, genuinely lovely, and "in no way full of herself" young woman, who was making a sincere attempt to make something good and worthwhile with her life, with all the ups and downs it'd already presented her with, at her young age]...

But I still think I can be entirely objective about how someone's outward appearance, and I very much agree with you, AM : I thought Bristol looked absolutely STUNNING on this show.

She actually reminded me very much of the quite young Elisabeth Taylor -- A really classic raven haired beauty !... and even having that beauty mark on the middle of one cheek !, that distinguished Elisabeth Taylor. : )

I'm not talking about Elisabeth Taylor in "National Velvet", where I'd guess she'd been perhaps just 16, but rather the simply breathtakingly exquisite Elisabeth Taylor who played the Rebecca role [at perhaps age 22 ?], in the magnificent old movie version of Sir Walter Scott's "Ivanhoe", from around 1950.

Appearance aside, Bristol clearly'd worked hard on her dancing, and, especially for "a non-dancer", danced great ! : )

I was expecting Bristol to dance as awful as Kate Gosselin did. Judging from the commercial, it looked as if she wasn't going to have any rhythm at all.

She definitely shocked me. I thought that she did a good job.

"Mama Told Me Not to Come"?! I love the irony, on so many levels! I give her kudos for having the nads to do this in public, and she did look as if she was having fun.

Wait a gosh darn minute, this is O’Donnell’s back-up theme song. Her other fave being ‘Witchy Woman’.
