Model Veruschka von Lehndorff, who was all the rage in the 1960s, hit the runway on Monday as part of London Fashion Week. The 71-year-old donned a gown and headdress at the Giles Spring/Summer 2011 show.

Okay, the slide show pictures weren't bad. What really creeped me out was the picture above the slide show. I don't have a problem with 71 year old models. I have a problem with models wearing excruciatingly bad makeup.

Sorry to say this, but picture 9, Man Hands.
Veruschka was very attractive when she began modeling...looks like a young Angelina Jolie.
She is 71, and modeling, that in itself is an accomplishment.
She does not dress her age, so maybe, that dress she had during her run way, may been of her choosing, nonetheless, congrats, I would love to be as active as this woman at that age.

She was an icon in the 60's, I can remember wishing to look like her...she looks hideous here...
If they would lose the gross makeup and the stupid dress, and put her in something that makes sense for a woman of her age (and older women probably make up half the couture-buyers) it might be a different story; she obviously still can model..but don't turn her into a satire of her former self, give her a chance to shine...

She looks totally out of place even if she were a famous model 40 or so years ago. She doesn't even look good in the make-up. This was a very bad decision on her part and the designer.
