Well, don't watch or listen to TWIT ( http://www.twit.tv ) this Sunday, this story means it's gonna be another free publicity show for Kevin Rose to explain why it's someone else's fault...

Sadly the main reason I stopped going to Digg wasn't so much it being redesigned but having troll after troll repeating in the comments how much it sucked.

The redesign was livable but the obnoxiousness of the people that didn't like it was unbearable; they should have started banning the people who constantly griped about it. If something sucks bad enough you don't have to keep spamming it.

I have no idea what Digg is, but from the sounds of it I doubt I would like it if I did.

This is a nice example of a company hurting itself through advancement though.  We can all learn something from it.

No. It really WAS a good idea - and it was great in the beginning. (It really was! I used it a lot in the beginning.) But the baggers infiltrated at every level and destroyed it as a good source for information collection and research.

They would have to change their name and identity if they want to really save it. But they would lose all their existing users.

It used to be a great website. A true Internet news site, including stories from the Internet culture.
