Rod Blagojevich To Appear On 'Trust Panel' In New York

In Rod We Trust? Blagojevich To Sit On New York 'Trust Panel'

Ousted Illinois governor and convicted felon Rod Blagojevich might not be the first person you think of when it comes to trusted politicians, but he plans on sharing his "experience and unique take on trust" with attendees of a "Trust Panel" during Advertising Week in New York.

The Associated Press reports that on Tuesday, Blagojevich will join Microsoft's associate general counsel Mike Hintze and a Yahoo! vice president, Ann Toth, among others, for a conversation about "who sets the current trust landscape and its implications."

Blagojevich has made several public appearances since he was convicted of lying to the FBI in August. A jury deadlocked on the other 23 charges he faced--and a retrial is expected early next year.

While it is not exactly clear what aspects of trust Blagojevich will discuss during the New York event, organizers of Advertising Week briefly explained the panel on their website:

You'll hear compelling points of view on what the ensuing ripple effect of the global trust breakdowns means to every brand, corporation and consumer. You'll learn where trust is sitting today, what's fueling the breakdowns and what it will take to restore and sustain consumer trust.

We just hope there is video.
