Huffington Post     First Posted: 09/15/10 04:50 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 06:40 PM ET

With the help of Sarah Palin and the Tea Party, last night Christine O'Donnell won the Republican senate primary in Delaware against GOP favorite Mike Castle. O'Donnell made headlines today not just for her win but for an unearthed segment from "Politically Incorrect" in 1998 where she outlines her conservative Christian beliefs including her opinion that masturbation is adultery. We did a little research and found even more crazy things O'Donnell has said over the years and compiled them for you below. Vote for the most ridiculous!

Masturbation = Adultery

"It is not enough to be abstinent with other people, you also have to be be abstinent alone. The Bible says that lust in your heart is committing adultery, so you can't masturbate without lust."

ABC had a spot on their nightly news tonight about her and the number of wins by the tea party part of the republican party. Seems that Establishment Republicans are "stunned" at the fact that the tea partier republicans are taking over the party. They had a video of Rove campaigning against this woman questioning why it took her so long to pay for her degree, etc. Seems the republican party is beside  Read More...

May none of us be "blessed" with so much scrutiny of our comments in life!

I pray this for people I agree and disagree with!

Scrutiny of one's comments comes with seeking public office and is completely appropriate, particularly when those comments were made on nationally syndicated television shows. Lets face it the only reason this woman gained attention to begin with is for making these absurd statements. To then claim that its unfair to hold her accountable for the things she's said while seeking national office is mystifying.

Too depressing for words.
If these type of candidates make it into office the entire world is going to positively roll on the floor laughing their asses off. Which reminds me. My neighbors are from out of the country, they are due back here soon. I can imagine they will bring me a really good wine for this one. Please Vote Democrat so I don't have to keep telling people I'm Canadian!

"We took the Bible and prayer out of public schools. Now we're having weekly shootings. We had the 60s sexual revolution, and now people are dying of AIDS." This is clearly a post-hoc logical fallacy. Ms. O'Donnell would like voters to believe that taking prayer and the Bible out of schools is what caused "weekly shootings" (school shootings aren't a weekly occurrence in the first place!) when there are many more factors that could have played a role in many of the school shootings that did occur. Also, the sexual revolution was not a direct cause of people dying from AIDS. There are many more steps that Christine O'Donnell is leaving out.

Hey don't forget that she said she has some sort of top secret clearance and just "knows" that China is plotting to move in and take over.

None of the rest of us needed top secret clearance to see that happening when the shrub sold us out to China.

It was simply amazing to see the circus they had for a debate in Delaware. Has this election really gotten to the point where even Wolf Blitzer, feels the need to "bailout" Chris Coons during a one on one debate? Then LOOK OUT, if that wasn't enough, there was a THIRD person who thought SHE was on the ticket for the Delaware senator seat. Is this how weak and desperate, the Democratic party has become?

You and I must have been watching different debate footage. I was watching the footage where O'Donnell didn't know that the separation of church and state is guaranteed by the Constitution. She questioned it a couple of times. When the crowd laughed AT her, the poor little ditz thought they were laughing WITH her and kept pressing her point - that the Constitution does not guarantee the separation of church and state.

Chris Coons quoted it - word for word but poor little Baby Palin STILL didn't get it.
01:36 AM on 11/03/2010
Actually, there is no separation of church and state anywhere in the Constitution, not even implied. The only way you can not know this is if you have never read the Constitution (or at least skipped reading that part). The 1st Amendment very clearly states that "CONGRESS shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...." Congress is the federal government. If they meant "Congress AND STATES," they would have said "Congress and states...." At the time the Constitution was written, there were plenty of STATES who DID have state religions, and the writers of the Constitution had no problem with that. It remained that way for quite a while. States CAN establish a religion (though it'd be unwise to do so; I'll give you that). Only Congress cannot establish a religion, as the 1st Amendment makes 100% crystal clear. The purpose was to avoid another situation like they had in England where you were forced to participate in a particular religion. That's one reason they escaped England and came here. They wrote the 1st Amendment's "establishment" clause to protect religious people from federal persecution because that's what they had had to deal with in England. The censored media told you that a separation of church and state exists in the Constitution, however, and you believed them without learning about it yourself. Congratulations, you're a lemming.

Or when Bush strutted around on a flight deck under a banner that announced "Mission Accomplished." Or when he said that Iraq had "weapons of mass destruction," and Nigeria had yellow cake. Or when he announced that "The economy is sound" just before the stock market crashed and our financial system collapsed. That Dubya was such a kidder, a laugh a minute!
