I never thought it could happen, but I am finally seeing the light about the Post.
I understand leaning to support our Liberal candidates, but when you start holding the intelligence of your readers in such utter contempt, which you do when you assert the poll numbers as a 2 point difference, I have had enough.
When I read the Post, I expect truthful information, not deliberately manufactured misinformation. Right now, I have to question everything that the Post has reported about everything. Stop lying to us as if we are children, did you actually think we would not be intelligent enough to discover this preposterous LIE.
Do you not realize Pauls’ base is election motivated, not ours? This is just as stupid as playing the bogus racist fraud card, which even I as an African American could see through, as well as; the ludicrous kidnapping stunt.
This will drive the motivated base far more than the unmotivated base, and a 10 to 15 point lead will only swell to an insurmountable percentage. How many seats do we have to lose, before our folks realize the other side is not as stupid as some would like to believe?
From where I sit, it seems clear that the Huffington Post is endorsing the conservative candidate in this race. How many Liberal candidates are you working to undermine with this pseudo journalistic line of BULL? This is nothing short of an act of journalistic treason; it is the ultimate act of betrayal.

The citizens of Kentucky may yet redeem themselves from the embarrassment of having elected three of the worst senators in American history... in a row.

Sorry... Rand Paul is not terrific. He's an amateur politician... which would be OK if he were not a professional hypocrite. How can any man be an anti-choice Libertarian?

Libertarian philosophy is great for people who live in cabin's in the woods.. some of my best friends are Libertarians but it is an utterly inadequate political philosophy for a complex, pluralistic, largely urban, mega-society as exists in America. However, the one good thing about Libertarianism is that it respects each person's moral and economic choices. This phony would have the government police every pregnancy even those that are the consequence of rape an incest. Rand Paul, like his father before him, is a fraud.

Compound that with the fact that he is a fool on economic issues then Dr. Paul is just another tea-party tool for the profit of the super rich... give me a break... Rand Paul is a joke. If the people of Kentucky elect him to the US Senate, they will make laughing-stocks of themselves, as Paul's ignorance plays out on a world stage...

With all due respect, this is a Senate race, not a Gubernatorial one. You mentioned Kentucky several times in your post. He will be voting on Federal issues and affecting the National Government. I don't care how honest he is. I care which way he votes. I hope he's not another Landrieu or Conrad. People like that have hurt the DNC enough.

before this tea-party tool actually faces the voters in Kentucky.

Listen to his list of delusional positions, Rand Paul can't match socks.

I hope for the sake of his patients, Dr. Paul a better physician than he is a politician.

"It's worth noting that the SurveyUSA sample for this poll is 51 percent Democrat and 36 percent Republican. The 2008 turnout in the state was 47 percent Democrat and 38 percent Republican."

GOOD LUCK CONMAN.

In that picture you can see Paul thinking, "oh, please, Mr. Conway, don't shake my hand so hard - it hurts!!!"
11:43 PM on 09/28/2010
And when you have no argument, ridicule and hope no one notices. Ever consider that the man does eye surgery with that hand? If I had to do surgery with my hands, I'd be a bit protective of them too. Someone's sight might depend on it.
11:59 PM on 09/29/2010
He belongs to a Medical group that believes that HIV has NO connection to AIDS it is called AAPS and you think he is concerned about doing eye tests. he set the board up himself so he would not have to be certified that is what a doctor he on this blog stated Yesterday that lives in Kentucky that can't understand how he is allowed to even work on any patients. It is proably due to U of L and the location he works out of has the name research in it. He wants more Ginny Pigs.

If you live in Kentucky, what are you doing just sitting there? Go, volunteer, donate, get moving today! Call Conway's campaign and volunteer...you may even be able to make phone calls from home. VOLUNTEER! There's nothing better than one-on-one voter appeals.
02:11 PM on 09/28/2010
Couldn't agree with you more. For those who aren't familiar, a phone bank is a great way to meet like-minded people, you can pretty much make up your own schedule on evenings you can work and there are no late hours (people don't like to be called after 9:00 p.m.).

Typically, the people you're calling are those who have expressed some interest in voting democratic before. It's called "voter - ID" right now - just calling to gauge interest and find out who wants Conway to win. Closer to the election, those whose names are identified as being a voter for Conway are called back again to remind them of the election and find out if they need a ride to the polls.

I've worked phone banks for the last dozen elections and did so because I didn't want to have to say to myself or others that I didn't do all I could to help the cause. It's your chance to particpate. And if your candidate doesn't win, at least when you complain about the other guy you won't have to hear someone say, "well, you have no right to complain if you didn't vote and work for the guy who lost." You can say, "Hey, I did everything I could."

So get out the vote!

Recession of 1960-61 (Republican).
Recession of 1958 (Republican)
Recession of 1953 (Republican).
Recession of 1949 (Democrat).
Recession of 1945 (Democrat - war related)
Recession of 1937 (Democrat)
Great Depression of 1929-42 (Republican).
Recession of 1926-27 (Republican).

Recession of 1913-14 (Democrat).
Recession of 1910-11 (Republican).
Recession of 1907 (Republican).

Total:
21 Recessions (depressions always start as a recession)
16 started under Republican presidents (none were war related)
05 started under Democratic presidents (2 of these were war related)

Moral of this story: Don't trust republicans with the economy.
11:45 PM on 09/28/2010
Moral of the story is don't trust a Progressive with the economy. Progressives have infiltrated both parties. Our first Progressive president was a Republican. Many of those since have been Democrats, including FDR. You also need to remember that FDR presided over the biggest, longest and deepest recession that we've ever had.
12:54 AM on 09/30/2010
But you have to remember it was Hover that put us there a Republican
12:56 AM on 09/30/2010
My parents are 88 years old and all I have to do is ask my Dad and he can tell me to this day all about the recession
01:02 AM on 09/30/2010
And a Democrat President named Clinton after 33 years of hard times had the United States dept free till when a Republican named BUSH. gave the United States a 3 Trillion dollar deficit and a bad economy. It takes a Democrat to straighten it out. We can't let it get messed up.more.
