ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE — The White House says President Barack Obama has spoken with Jimmy Carter following the ex-president's hospitalization in Cleveland.

White House spokesman Bill Burton says Obama called Carter from Air Force One as he traveled from New Mexico to Wisconsin. Burton says Carter is feeling great and plans to resume his book tour on Wednesday.

The Carter Center said the 85-year-old former president fell ill on a flight from Atlanta to Cleveland and was taken to a Cleveland hospital. A hospital spokeswoman says Carter is still in the hospital.

Carter is traveling to promote his new book, "White House Diary."

President Carter is the only US president that I have spoken to... Back then, it was about alternative energy... AND lately I was disappointed that Obama did not accept back the solar panel that WAS on the whitehouse. http://putsolaron.it was the http://350.org Bill McKibben event to raise awareness about solar.... great article here: http://www.tomdispatch.com/post/175296/tomgram:_bill_mckibben,_the_enthusiasm_gap_in_the_white_house/

Why is Obama so unenthusiastic about Solar?
Oh, and best wishes to Carter for a quick recovery.

The United States of America has only had one "ex-president" and that would be ex-President Nixon, who resigned (like Palin) ...
President Bush senior is a President, President Clinton is a President.
Bush junior murdered over 4300 of our nation's soldiers, emptied the economy into a black hole (although I'm sure that his war bonds and military/industrial stocks paid good dividends to he, his family, and Cheney) as well as forced the sale of a deployment system to the only unstable Islamic nation in the world with proven nuclear ability, so...since his legacy isn't done yet, he gets no title. At least, not from me.
But then, I'm stubborn that way.
