The country of Nepal has named the shortest teenager in the world to be its Goodwill Ambassador as a way of attracting tourism to Mount Everest, the world's tallest mountain.

Khagendra Thapa Magar, 17, stands a little over two feet tall, and currently holds the Guinness World Record for the world's shortest teenager, reports Kilmeny Duchardt at Reuters. Thapa Magar is poised to become the world's shortest man when he turns 18 this October.

Thapa Magar suffers from a condition known as primordial dwarfism, which only afflicts about 100 people worldwide, according to Telegraph.
