Chicago Weekend Events: Beer, Big Bucks And Cool Films

It's Friday, it's October and it's gorgeous outside. If your weekend schedule isn't already jam-packed, allow HuffPost Chicago to give you some tips. From Big Bucks to big beers, there is a lot to do in the city this weekend.

Chicago South Asian Film Festival

The Chicago South Asian Film Festival was created to promote South Asian culture throughout Chicago and the Midwest. The three-day film fest kicks off Friday with the Red Carpet arrival at the Chicago Cultural Center. "Two Paise for Sunshine Four Aanas for Rain" screens at 7 p.m. at the Claudia Cassidy Theater followed by a Questions and Answers session with director Deepti Naval and principal actors. Big Buck Hunter World Championships

Are you a fan of the Big Buck Hunter Pro and Bick Buck Safari games? Think you have a good shot? Don't miss the Big Buck Hunter World Championships this weekend at the Cubby Bear Bar. The competition will take place Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. Contestants will give their best shots in hopes of winning the grand prize of $50,000! There will be raffles, drink specials and a live band to karaoke with at 11 p.m. on Friday. Cover is $5. 1059 W. Addison.

Oktoberfest Bier Open Tasting

In honor of the German beer festival, Drinks Over Dearborn sill have an event Oct. 2 from 4 - 7 p.m. where you can sample up to 25 beers for $25. The beers include some Oktoberfest and fall-themed options. Drinks Over Dearborn is located at 640 N. Dearborn.

5th Annual Little Village Arts Fest

Be sure to check out the Little Village Arts Fest this weekend from Oct. 1 to Oct. 3. The fest includes neighborhood galleries, performances and workshops. The fest has a tradition of transforming storefronts, café's and schools into gallery spaces throughout the neighborhood. The opening night event will take place Friday at Universidad Popular, 2801 S. Hamlin Ave. from 6pm-8pm. The fest is FREE and open to the public! http://villarte.org/events.php?id=8
