TASTE ART: West Hollywood's Food+Art Event Series

West Hollywood launches "Taste Art" Events With A Gala At The London

Who: Well-heeled fans of fine dining and fine art.

What: The Avenues: Art, Fashion and Design District and Los Angeles Times Magazine present TASTE ART, an event series pairing some of West Hollywood's most well-known restaurants and art galleries. The opening gala will feature works by prominent artist Fernando Botero, courtesy of Tasende Gallery. The menu, by Gordon Ramsay at The London, includes escargot and garlic custard, caramelized sea scallop with quail egg, roasted duck with a parsnip puree, and a pumpkin soufflé with gingerbread ice cream.

When: The opening gala takes place on Tuesday, October 5th at 6:30, and subsequent "Art Tastings" will be held at different participating restaurants each Tuesday in October. For the full schedule, click here.

Where: The Opening Gala is at The London Hotel. Click here to see the locations for the rest of October.

How: Tickets for the Taste Art Opening Gala are $200, and subsequent Taste Art events range from $75 to $200 per person.

Why: This is one of the more expensive dining events in Los Angeles this October (especially considering dineLA's restaurant week deals). Still, if you were already going to pony up anyway for these expensive restaurants, why not make it a Tuesday and do it surrounded by art--both on your plate and on the walls?
