We have a strong affinity towards sunsets. There is something so romantic, so peaceful and so alluring about them.

The most memorable sunset we've ever experienced was on New Year's Eve, perched atop the sand dunes of the Sahara desert. It is a moment we will never forget.

The lighthouse in Ucluelet BC is an amazing place to watch the sun fall into the waves. Every time my husband and I have traipsed out there, there is always a few dozen locals (and the few tourists who have been clued in) scattered around the area, sitting and watching the enormous pacific waves crash against the rocky shore while the sun dives.

I also had an excellent night on the rock beach of Pissouri while a blood red moon rose after a stunning sunset. Those images are seared into my memory!

Sorry but Hawaii is just WAY over rated. Try Palau Pangkor or Dahab or Jeddah ALL offer beautiful sunsets AND you can actually afford to stay there.

Sunset on Rialto Beach on the Olympic Peninsula is awesome, but rare - it's one of the rainiest places on earth.

I have been to SANTORINI IN GREECE!!!!!!!!!!!!! before and it was just by FAR THE MOST SPECTACULAR SUNSET MY EYES HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!!!! AWWWW ;) just to talk about it makes me get goose bumps!!! The picture shown here does not make it justice at all... I have more spectacular pictures than this!!! ;)

Cape Comorin, India with thousands of pilgrims, the smells of salt and fish frying on the air, chants coming from the shrines like eavesdropping on a tin-can telephone from mars.....
