You may know Waris Ahluwalla best from Wes Anderson's Darjeeling Limited, however he is also the designer behind the fine jewelry line House of Waris. And now, Ahluwalla can add 'tea shop owner' to his long list of professions.
Ahluwalla's new shop, located underneath the High Line, opens this week. Designed by Christian Wassmann, the space will be divided between a pavilion and a garden. The pavilion will house apparel and accessories from designers like APC, Rodarte, book publisher Assouline and jewelry by Waris himself. The garden will serve tea from the Himalayas and food from select New York City restaurants like Bar Pitti and Cafe Cluny.
The shop will be open from October 7th to October 17th and is located at 504 West 24th Street.
