Christine O'Donnell Accuses 'Liberal Media' Of 'Character Assassination' (VIDEO)

Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell spoke at a GOP sponsored candidate forum in Newark, Delaware, Wednesday and accused the "liberal media" of enacting a campaign of "character assassination" against her, CNN reports.

"I've put my name on the line. And I've taken a lot of hits, a lot of slander, a lot of character assassination," the Tea Party-backed GOP upstart said.

O'Donnell has captivated the media with a constant stream of clips uncovered by both reporters and comedian Bill Maher, who frequently had her on his ABC show, "Politically Incorrect," throughout the 1990s.

O'Donnell recently took to the airwaves to defend herself against one of the most puzzling comments, in which she claimed that she had "dabbled in witchcraft." In her latest ad, she tells viewers flatly: "I'm not a witch...I'm you."

After the Republican forum Wednesday night, O'Donnell remained true to her promise to avoid national media -- except for Fox News -- leaving the event through back door and refusing to take questions from CNN, which provided video of the event.
