Dwight Clark

seattlepi.com:

Police say the body found Wednesday in Bellingham Bay is Dwight Clark, the 18-year-old Western Washington University student who has been missing for more than a week.

Investigators found Clark's driver's license with the body and made the identification from physical characteristics, police spokesman Mark Young said. A medical identification and cause of death are expected later this week.

This is heartbreaking and I'm in hopes the Police find the person responsible
for ending this young mans life. This has got to be the worst thing that can
happen to any family.

On all of these young men that have died the same way in the last few years, it is always the same...no sign of trauma. I suspect they are drugged and thrown into the water while still alive. There was an entire show last year hosted by Anderson Cooper on these urders although they have not been qualified as murders by the authorities. The Smiley Face Killer.

There was a story recently about several young men that have been found dead in the last few years. They suspected a serial killer. The murders were if several different states. I had never heard of it. But it was reported on a crime show, that most of the victims are alone and usually coming home after drinking.

I was just going to post the same thing. This has been taking place for quite some time. Infact for several years. All of the boys fit the exact same profile and there is always a cmoing home drunk and water involved. In NYC three were found the same way duringa St. Patricks Day a few years back. Last year one was found in Ithaca, while my daughter was at the school. Very terrifying.

An autopsy is being done today in Bellingham. We're a college town and this story has had people here terribly upset.

It's unfortunate that HP posted the Seattle PI story instead of the local Bellingham Herald's coverage, which has been extensive.

It's a tragedy for the family and friends of Dwight Clark, as well as Western Washington University and for Bellingham. I particularly feel compassion for his mother who must face this terrible loss.

More heartbreak !! All of these tragic stories involving our young people makes you want to lock your children up and not let them out, of course you can not do that. I have a son who's a sophomore in college and I would be lying if I said I didn't cringe sometimes when the phone rings. My heart goes out to this young man's family and a sincere wish that they can somehow find peace.

death of one's child is most horrific, no matter the reason -

So tragic and heartbreaking. Parents send their kids off to college and one month later this happens. My heart goes out to his poor family!! Obviously walking from a party alone to a dorm can be very dangereous for a young man as well as a young woman. They have little defense against someone larger who surprises them-especially if they have been drinking. So much emphasis has been placed on the safety of young women for good reason but young men need to know the same rules apply to them.

What is this story about? What happened to this boy? What is the connection between the discovery of his body and the apparently self-inflicted death of a 60-year-old woman? Does no one EDIT these stories or do they just throw raw information out and let people speculate? I thought news stories were supposed to answer the questions, "How? What? When? Where? Who? Why?"

They don't know what happened to the boy yet - details expected later in the week. The story about the woman is related because they were both found in the same body of water in the same week. Maybe you read some otehr article?

Phebes, thank you for your explanation. Your additional sarcasm at the end was unnecessary and only demeans you.
