Shocking Aerial Images Of The Foreclosure Crisis (PHOTOS)

For a different perspective on the foreclosure crisis, take a look at America's wounded housing market from above.

Courtesy of Google Earth shots first compiled in this terrific Boston.com gallery, we've gathered aerial views from the some of the areas that have been the most impacted by the housing boom and bust.

As you'll see from the images below, the foreclosure crisis has created ghost towns across Florida, Nevada and California -- or stopped huge housing developments before they were even started. Check out these rather disturbing aerial views of the housing crisis below:

Commercial law which is uniform worldwide and governs commercial transactions and contracts:
UCC 3-104(e) An instrument is a "note" if it is a promise and is a "draft" if it is an order. If an instrument falls within the definition of both "note" and "draft," a person entitled to enforce the instrument may treat it as either.

UCC 9-102(65) "Promissory note" means an instrument that evidences a promise to pay a monetary obligation, does not evidence an order to pay, and does not contain an acknowledgment by a bank that the bank has received for deposit a sum of money or funds.

NOW whats all this mean? When was the last time you checked your ORGINAL note??

TJ "The Central Bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the principles and form of our Constitution if the American people allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.”
The most rewarding things about this epic battle that is the foreclosure fight is meeting homeowners and other advocates who are standing up and fighting for themselves and fighting for the heart and soul of our courthouses. http://righttocancel.com/
We have only seen the tip of the mortgage crisis. The scariest part currently of this crisis is that people are losing hope, The common consensus is "why bother...the bank doesn't care...why should I? I will just go rent." The American dream has gone from aspiring to own your own home to just hoping to keep your home. http://righttocancel.com/

Maybe these arial pictures will help Obama "see" the national foreclosure crisis !

Maybe the congressional testimony will help Obama "hear" the national foreclosure crisis !

Maybe the 50 state AG's investigation will help Obama "understand" the national foreclosure crisis !

Maybe the class action lawsuits will help Obama get "angry" about the foreclosure fraud.

Maybe ... but I doubt it.

Like a true leader ... Obama has turned his back on the foreclosure crisis.

In two (2) short years ... the voters will turn their backs on him.

This was far long in the making before Obama got to office. His aide program was a failure but the GOP have offered up nothing either, only because the banks have found ways to push off their responsibilities and burdens onto the tax-payers.

Foreclosure use to be the final resort, now its just an easy way out for homeowners and the banks.

One could see good news in all this. With all of this development stopped taxes will be lower because, as anyone with a functioning brain cell knows, growth DOES NOT pay for itself.

Cities matter. Nobody wants to buy a home that's 3 hours frome civilization.

sure they do.

I have a 65 home subdivision, bought and paid for in cash, all surveys and enginering fees paid in cash and approved by the city and county that is 3 hrs from an interstate highway. the key is, it is a MMA, and there are 150K residents that live within 15-45 min drive.

there is very little snow, no earthquakes, very little property taxes,,, good hospitals, good recreation, affordable food-------------

but the economy tanked.

if I could only get the city to advertise the climate, the taxes, the recreation, etc-----------

Thank goodness we paid cash when we do realestate deals------

Let's see pictures of the MILLIONS of once working Americans and how destroyed their lives are rather than pictures of how poorly real estate developers are doing.

see above,

I am now working a $12/ hour job.

My real estate investments will be there, in the future, and I will sell homes, and the price may even come down from the $175K- $250K prices stated above---

So TMMA do not cuss all developers-------------------

apefool,

I have been a Democrat all of my life, and I am a real estate developer.

I keep (pocket) much less $$ than you think. I give back to the community, in donations to
not- for- profits, my time donated to n-f-p's and all of the other things caring individuals do.

do not lump all developers into the "I'm rich, f**k everyone else"------------

This would be a perfect opportunity to turn that land back into the farmland it once was. It looks like picture 3 for example has just recently been converted. So convert it back! Aren't people struggling to get food in California? Make some locally grow tomatoes and sell them in the next town over instead of shipping them to New York or Chicago.

Six and Seven....wall up, nobody home. What a shame. These things need to start going for 10K a pop like they do in Detroit. Even if you sold them for under 50K, lets make them cash only and 'Chourney' Free.

On a side note I think I would enjoy running or biking through one of these empty pre-developments almost as much as I currently enjoy running and biking through cemeteries around where I live.

Some of these images, like driving through any new development, instantly bring the song "Little Boxes" to mind...

If existing homes are not selling, then we shouldn't be building new homes. We should be preserving farmlands and woodlands.
