Wisconsin GOP Chairman Slips And Says 'Obama Should Be Executed' During Talk About Osama Bin Laden

Obama Wisconsisn Gop Chair

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 10/07/10 02:37 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 06:55 PM ET

Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Wisconsin GOP, referred to the "execution" of Obama three separate times during a recent media conference call.

"Feingold had mentioned that he thought that it would be good if we captured Obama in the battlefield setting and that he suffered the quote-unquote ultimate punishment there," Priebus told reporters while attempting to explain that Sen. Feingold (D-Wis.) was "out of the mainstream" because of his opposition to using capital punishment -- even on Osama bin Laden -- as a tool of the American criminal justice system.

"I find this point that he's made to be completely disgusting. I think it's offensive to the people of Wisconsin, I hope he has an explanation as to why he thinks Obama ought not to be executed and why he thinks we ought to bring Osama bin Laden to the United States that he should be captured alive and actually have a trial," Priebus said later.

Probed by reporters on how Republican Senate candidate Ron Johnson would feel on these issues, Priebus surmised that he would also favor the execution of "Obama."

"My guess is he would believe that Obama should be executed and he oughta be treated as a war criminal," Priebus explained.

A reporter from WisPolitics later pointed out his use of Obama instead of Osama.

"You mean Osama bin Laden I take it," the reporter said.

"Uh, right," responded Priebus.

He didn't slip. He just let his true feelings about the President come out. We need to stop making excuses for these ignorant clowns and birthers and quit giving the national spotlight. They don't deserve it.

The United States is on the verge of becoming Italy 1922 or Germany 1933 , we are all well meaning and I sure most of the Tea Potty and Repugs are not true fas.cists...but many of the leaders especially over at the "Chamber of Commerce" and Koch Ind. as well as the "those who wont be named" (doesn't that scare you at all?) really are fasc.ist in their leanings.

Now the mainstream Republicans may be able to recall what fascism is, but the Tea Party folks are too ignorant or mentally challenged since you seem to think Hitler was a Left Winger because the name of the party had "Socialist" in it...this is your literal thinking combined with ignorance producing a serious "FAIL" ...fascism is and always will be, despite Fox Noise and others attempts at deception, a right wing philosophy and you party is treading very very close to it

When one thinks about it, the louder someone yells accusations at another, that means too frequently they are hiding something itching to get out. They have called the president everything but a child of God (which they would even try to deny him, even though they cannot). They have made him everything for a Democrat, that's too good. He must be a socialist, fascist, communist or something, anything, but preferably Muslim.

They sound fascist because their train of thought is that. The more the religious element is mixed with that, the scarier this scenario will get. We have already been told that there is only one Leftist Christian in America, that is Mike Huckabee. One Leftist Christian. So when that Fascism and Religiosity (without God in it, therefore it can do anything and God will forgive it if need be) get to a boiling point, that's a type of bomb in itself - nothing good or sane can come from it.

I disagree with the Chairman. He should only be returned to the Senate to learn the workings of government.

I'm fully aware of the process of impeachment and removal.

Ironically, I've taught every subject on my teacher's license EXCEPT Government.
I could do so, though.

To Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Wisconsin GOP, I was a republican for many years and because of people like you I am not anymore, you are a disgrace to the GOP and the country

Because he mispronounced Osama? I assume your not a Democrat either then. Ted Kennedy endorsed Osama bin Laden for the US Senate Seat from Illinois on at least two different occasions in 2004.

Jeff, you may not think so...but is it truly sinful to spread rumors you no aren't true...or to just make s**t up!!

So if you're being truthful...documentation please...of Ted Kennedy using Bin Laden's full name when endorsing Barack Obama.

All I can think of is that episode of 30 Rock when Jenna is on Hardball:

Tucker Carlson: (sarcastically) Let's have our policies determined by former CableACE Award nominees.
Jenna: First, I was great in that Arliss. Second of all, if the president is so serious about the war on terror, why doesn't he hunt down and capture Barack Obama before he strikes again? It's time for a change, America. That's why I'm voting for Osama in 2008. (waits for a response) Oh, no comeback? Ya burnt

Not as funny when an actual politician says it though.

GOBP/Bagger apologists: Do Y'all really , and I mean really, think that Democrats are the same as this Cheesehead with several slices short of a wheel?

Did Democrats say "mean things" about BushBaby --- of course but we would say that about anyone who instigated torture and thought that simply shipping citizens and foreign nationals offshore was a way to torture them with impunity (no Obama does not torture) and too think of themselves as a petty dictator with that goofy right wing "unitary executive" farce

One thing good about Obama: He's a better President than he promised he would be. He's adopted many Bush agenda items: Gates for Defense; Petraeus in charge of the hottest war; Gitmo remaining open for the indefinite future; troops (COMBAT-READY) troops in Iraq for the indefinite future. I guess the briefings have clued him in on the fact that there are really bad people in the world. Sorry to all of his clueless followers; better luck with HRC in '12.

Sorry to keep "replying"...but Gates and Petraeus aren't "Bush agenda items", they're people most qualified for their positions. Gitmo stays open because many want it closed, not mant want to house the prisoners. The fifty thousand troops left in Iraq wasn't a strategy initiated by Bush...and you know it!!

You guys just never get tired of making s**t up. You think that everyone is like you...accessing your bogus information from the internet or the 24-7 echo chamber of the right-wingnuts.
