'The Daily Show' Takes On O'Donnell's 'Not A Witch' Ad & Delaware's North Vs. South Battle (VIDEO)

Last night on "The Daily Show," Jon Stewart and Aasif Mandvi continued their midterm election coverage by weighing the Democrats' chances of losing the Senate majority and looking at Delaware's divided political state as a microcosm of the entire country.

First, Stewart wondered how, with 13 Senate seats in danger, the Democrats are could lose to some very extreme conservatives. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D - Nev.) is tied with his opponent Sharron Angle despite her beliefs that gay couples shouldn't be allowed to adopt children and that it is "part of God's plan" when rape victims become pregnant, among other things.

Similarly, Jim Demint (R - SC) is 40 points ahead of his opponent despite saying that gays and unwed mothers shouldn't be allowed to teach.

"Is there any extreme a Republican can go to that WILL hurt their chances in November?"

Of course, Stewart nearly forgot about Christine O'Donnell, who recently released a campaign ad denying that she is a witch, the background of which just happens to look like a bubbling cauldron. She also tried to connect with her critics by saying simply, "I'm you."

"Really, you're me?" Stewart asked. "Because I don't recall the last time I had to deny I was a witch."

Stewart knows that Americans feel our nation is politically divided, but asks: how divided are we really? He sent Aasif Mandvi to Delaware to show how O'Donnell's race epitomizes the national conflict between red state and blue state, north and south.

While the north of Delaware thinks the south is entirely made up of rednecks and "god-fearing patriots," the southerners believe the north to be full of "liberal elitists." In a hilarious segment, Mandi proves that really there is no difference.
