Massachusetts Gubernatorial Candidate Files Lawsuit Alleging Aides Conspired To Sabotage Candidacy

In a new, politically explosive lawsuit, independent gubernatorial candidate Timothy P. Cahill accuses his former top strategists and aides of conspiring to sabotage his candidacy, saying they orchestrated the desertion of his running mate and plotted to give damaging information and internal campaign tactics to the team of GOP rival Charles D. Baker and the Republican Governors Association.

It wouldn't surprise me if what he's alleging turns out to be true. After all, the team he hired was the old McCain crew ... you know, the ones who came out swinging telling tales out of school in the middle of that campaign. Hiring them's not the brightest political move I've ever seen.

GOP dirty tricks? Can't be ---Nixon told us he wasn't a crook , and had his little dog Checkers to back him up. And Republicans are Christians, they couldn 't possibly do something dishonest. It would void the warranty.

Conspiracy theories.  Gotta love 'em!

Back in 2008, some thought the swooners at the Obama rallies, when he would wave his hand and call for a glass of water for some swooning woman, were plants.  Now, there are dozens getting faint and passing out at Obama rallies and he doesn't seem to be able to heal them by waving his hand.

BOWIE, Md. - About three dozen people have been treated for illness during a rally featuring President Obama at Bowie State University.
Prince George's County Fire and EMS spokesman Mark Brady tells WTOP numerous ambulances have been sent to the rally after people started fainting and became dizzy.
The problems could be related to warmer temperatures today. Brady says crowds at the rally were outside and packed shoulder to shoulder.
Two people have been taken to the hospital so far, Brady says. The rest have been treated at the scene.

Cahill is and has been way down in the polls, running a distant third behind Patrick and Baker - his running mate most likely got bought off by the Republicans because they thought Cahill would hurt their vote rather than Deval Patrick's.

There's no merit to the suit - because it's not against the law to drop out of a political race and backstab your running mate. It's like suing because your boyfriend or girlfriend left you.

As far as I'm concerned, this is karmic payback for Cahill doing essentially the same thing to Deval Patrick. But are the GOPers playing dirty tricks? Of course they are - it's what they do, and who they are.
