pdf-mags.com: Aggregator for Zine-ophiles

BLOG WATCH> pdf-mags.com Finds Young Artists So You Don't Have To

Anybody who tells you that the glut of content on YouTube is a new thing hasn't paid much attention to zines. The small-scale, often self-published pamphlets were earlier decades' version of information overload; the gems you discovered weren't always worth the slog through thousands of Kurt Cobain drawings it took to find them. Nowadays, most of the people who would have been publishing zines have moved to blogs, but some of the faithful publish PDF magazines, named for the compressed format in which they can be downloaded. Mercifully, pdf-mags.com has collected them.
For the first time, this media has been adequately categorized on the internet, and we wouldn't be surprised if the ease of search has encouraged the creation of more PDF projects. Each zine is extensively tagged, so aimless search is a thing of the past. Happy scrolling!
