Chicago VeganMania united Chicago's vegans this weekend at its second annual event.
The event was produced by EarthSave Chicago and aimed to celebrate the city's vegan culture, businesses, sense of community and cuisine. The event took place Saturday at the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse.
Attendees had the opportunity to sample an array of vegan food, hear from vegan chefs Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Fran Costigan and listen to live music.
"It took place during an unseasonably hot autumn day," said John Beske, spokesman for ChicagoVeganMania. He described the event as a giant vegan house party that drew about 1,600 people.
