Nick Swardson Talks Pot, 'Pretend Time' & Politicians He'd Party With (VIDEO)

It was only a matter of time before comedian Nick Swardson got his own show. Tonight, that time is upon us. Swardson has been known for being many things over the last decade: Hard-partying stand-up comedian, gay rollerblading enthusiast on "Reno 911!", frequent Adam Sandler collaborator.

Tonight marks the premiere of his own sketch comedy show on Comedy Central, aptly titled "Nick Swardson's Pretend Time," which premieres at 10/9c. We had a chance to talk to Nick at Caroline's comedy club to discuss partying with dead presidents, his bafflement at Sarah Palin's popularity, and how even 90-year-olds could enjoy his new show.

I consider this one of the worst comedy shows I've ever seen in my entire life.

Anyone who even TRIES to say it's good has NO taste in humor. I hope it stops giving Comedy Central a bad reputation very soon.

Nick- Don't let this failure send you into booze and pills. Move on to your next creative project.Your professional peers should have talked you out of a terminal child disease skit... that had no chance of being funny no matter what the bucket list had on it. You should consider finding a new group of mentors for your creative comedic inspirations and advice. Sorry your show was competing with the funnier Allstate Insurance ads. Retool your comedy. I still think you have something to say to your audience that is socially relevant.

it's a f***ing joke, that kid really didn't die, if you don't like it.....move on, if Mr.Swardson listened to anonymous internet critics who were giving advice to him about his career he would be as unfunny as you.

Years of standup, three comedy specials, a handful of funny movies and one of the funniest characters to ever grace Reno 911 (which is a show full of funny characters played by incredibly talented comedians) and now his own sketch show.....I think he's doing just fine.
