Charles Barkley On Favre Allegations: 'It's Not A News Story'

Charles Barkley Defends Brett Favre, Rips Media On Sexting Controversy

Former NBA star Charles Barkley defended Brett Favre on Tuesday in an interview with USA Today and slammed the media for "trying to make it a story."

"This is just the media trying to make it a story because they've got juicy, gory details basically. But its not a story," Barkley said. "Listen, if Brett Favre sent that women pictures, it ain't up to me to decide whether that's right or wrong. But it's not a news story. He didn't break any laws. That's between him, the girl and his wife."

Barkley went on to say that Favre is doing the right thing by not saying anything.

Favre is under investigation by the NFL for allegedly sending racy voicemails and photos of his penis to Jenn Sterger in 2008 when he played for the New York Jets.

NFL Commissioner said on Tuesday that there was no timetable for completing the investigation of the report, which was originally posted on the internet by Deadspin.
