Princess Victoria Dons Red, Accessorizes With Belt & Barrette (PHOTOS, POLL)

First Posted: 10/13/10 09:45 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:00 PM ET

After rocking the one big earring look on Monday (which 45 percent of you called "RAD" and 55 percent of you found "BAD"), Swedish Princess Victoria ditched her statement jewelry on Wednesday while visiting the Swedish pavilion at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

She donned a bright red sheath, cinched at the waist with a tan belt, and held a matching clutch. She topped her ponytail with what appears to be a bowed barrette. Very Spring 2011 of her!

Take a look and tell us what you think.

She's fine. I hope the plebes of Sweden will have a bit of appreciation for their culture and the continuation of their royal lineage. Sometimes I'm shocked by the way the plebes treat their royal families in Europe.

FWIW, she must be left-handed? She wears her watch on her right hand.

I'm left handed (well, mostly ambidextrous), but I never understood why a leftie would do that. I never had the urge.

A very "safe" look but I don't think I would have mixed it with tan shoes and belt.

I am so sick of "nude" color shoes. But at least she didn't have those horrid clydesdale shoes most women wear these days!

She and her husband do not look royal in any way. They look more like the Geek Squad. Her brother should be King not her.

They don't look royal but I'm not so sure about the geek squad. What's with her hair always pulled back in a pony tail, oh and barrette. Can't she get a stylist and a good hairdo? I'm not fond of her style of dress either.

lexington, uh, what does "royal" look like exactly? They are just people afterall.

There is a royal way to dress, just as there is an upper class elite way to dress but many of the younger ones are changing that with more contemporary, less formal attire. Of course, there are limits on how far they can push that. One only needs to look at the Queen of England and her family to understand what past royal attire looked like.

Love her dress, and the her belt and accessories are gorgeous. It's nice to see her looking so happy as well.

Princess Victoria looks fabulous. The cut of the dress is simple enough to carry off the bold color and her accessories make the outfit.

The belt looks cheap, not too royal. A different choice would have been better.
04:36 PM on 10/13/2010
Agree. I think a thinner, simple belt of the same color would have been nicer. But she still looks good. She strikes me as very warm and engaging person.

Her husband seems to be adapting to his role well, although the gelled hair must go. Kinda makes him look older.

The Red Flag song sends shivers down me spine :)

"The people's flag is deepest red,
It shrouded oft our martyr'd dead
And ere their limbs grew stiff and cold,
Their hearts' blood dyed its ev'ry fold.
Then raise the scarlet standard high,
Within its shade we'll live and die,
Though cowards flinch and traitors sneer,
We'll keep the red flag flying here"

Great looking dress and the belt and elegant purse are great accessories.

I agree. Her accessories here are perfect. They are casual but well styled.

Please tell her husband to stop with the slicked back look, his hair just looks dirty
