Carl Paladino Porn Emails

New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino found himself embroiled in controversy once again on Thursday after WNYMedia.net published a series of emails containing pornographic images reportedly forwarded by the Republican hopeful to friends and colleagues within the last several years.

The messages released by the New York-based outlet contain provocative pictures of naked women in revealing positions and engaging in sexual activity. Paladino included brief notes in some instances when he blasted out the images. More than once, he wrote, "awesome," while on a different occasion he said, "for andy this is better."

The graphic emails have surfaced on the heels of Paladino sparking controversy in speaking out against marriage equality. "We must stop pandering to the pornographers and the perverts, who seek to target our children and destroy their lives," he said earlier this week.

The AP reports on the campaign's response to the dirty messages:

Paladino spokesman Michael Caputo called the political site's operators miscreants and notes that Democratic activists have been accused of falsifying e-mails in the past.

Caputo stated the e-mails from 2008 to January of 2010 aren't new or relevant. He didn't deny Paladino forwarded them.

Amid controversy swirling over a series of racist and graphic e-mails forwarded by Paladino to friends and colleagues earlier this year, the Tea Party contender said, "I'm not politically correct and never have been." He added, "I'm not perfect. But if the worst I ever did was send out some non-politically correct e-mails, my God."

HuffPost's David Weiner reported on the e-mails, also published by WNYMedia.net, at the time:

These emails run the gamut from your standard email chain smut to greatly disturbing racist imagery. Many of the latter type of emails targeted President Obama and his wife Michelle.

Here's a brief rundown of some the emails obtained by the news outlet...

- Ahead of Obama's swearing-in ceremony, Paladino sent around a video entitled "Obama Inauguration Rehearsal." The video shows an African tribesman dancing, and is apparently popular among white supremacists.

- An email with the subject line "Proof the Irish discovered Africa" containing a video of monkeys that appear to be doing a Riverdance-style jig.

- A video of a naked woman sent from a government email account.

- A bestiality video involving a horse and a woman.

One image passed along by Paladino featured President Obama and the First Lady made to look like "a pimp and a ho."

Responding to the matter, Caputo at the time told the New York Daily News:

"Carl Paladino has forwarded close friends hundreds of email messages he received. Many of these emails he received were off color, some were politically incorrect, few represented his own opinion, and almost none of them were worth remembering..."

Paladino is facing off against Democrat Andrew Cuomo to be New York's next Governor in November's midterm election. According to the latest numbers out on the match-up, Cuomo holds a comfortable lead in the race.

The pornographic emails, which contain graphic images, can be found here.

No, it seems the Republicans and neocons have completely given up the word 'shame.' Nothing is too far out there anymore.

and I have friends like that.
Most notable difference is, I warned them both, one writes no more, and the other and I are still friends, though there is one sticking point.

He doesn't ever vote.
It's because he says we "can't trust politicians,"

Well, he may have something about the trust, as our two Indiana Senators march in lockstep (even though D & R) but, I still vote, anyway.

People who dont vote are wimps. They feel they have a tough choice and are to wimpy to make it.
They are unpatriotic, and have forfeited any opinion on any political subject. They are not doing their job as a citizen, yet they want a politition to represent them. They deserve no representation if they dont vote. Of the people, BY THE PEOPLE and for the people. Your friend doesnt get the By the people part.

Pataki was the last governor New York had that could be considered an honorable man. Spitzer was such a degenerate and loathsome man that they gave him a TV show. Patterson, while slightly better than Spitzer, hasn't addressed the exodus of the financially endowed from New York causing greater burdens on the budget. The recession hasn't helped the state budget either. All of us remember how corrupt Mario Cuomo was as governor, now we are being fed his son so that the democratic hostility can continue. While Paladino would be a very good choice as far as help to the people he is being dogged by ancillary issues that may be effective. The democrats have nothing to run on this cycle as their policies have been anti-business, inflationary, and cost prohibitive to enable the economy to recover quickly as had been the case with other recessions so they resort to meaningless personal attacks that are either contrived or true but wouldn't alter the financial mess the state is in.

Whether you support Buffalo businessman Carl Paladino or the heir to Mario Cuomo’s mantle in Andrew Cuomo you would expect or hope our media’s coverage to be a bit more reasonable. With notable exceptions, the media is rubber stamping Andrew Cuomo in the last leg of his Coronation, while focusing on the particularly human or flawed side of Paladino on issues that have little to do with his fitness or character to govern. The media distraction in effect perpetuate a narrative of one man as the white knight and the other as an erratic, unstable bully. That one is a seasoned political vet from an establishment political family who has had decades to prepare for this campaign and the other a political neophyte is not weighed in the calculus. Consider the source of Paladino's anger against the entrenched political class and a wide cross section of citizens who feel bullied because that class that is no longer listening to them. Establishment candidates no longer address citizens directly except in carefully scripted photo-ops while dodging the inquiry of veteran journalists. Instead a series of endorsements from groups hoping to benefit in the next administration and favorable media coverage are deemed sufficient exposure. The media attack on Citizen Candidates via drudging up evidence illustrative of their humanity while they ignore significant evidence of the other candidate that goes to their judgment, character, intellectual understanding of Economic Policy is wrong & disturbing. WRONG

" on the particularly human or flawed side of Paladino on issues that have little to do with his fitness or character to govern."

Sorry Charlie. This man isn't fit to take out the garbage, much less govern a State.

That's some funny stuff there, The fact that Paladino is a racist, sexist, beasialitiest ( is that a word?,lol) HYPOCRITE, has nothing to do with his ability or character to govern, LOL.
I'd like to see what your list of 'character' involves, on second thought, forget it.

I kind of like Paterson.

He may have made a lot of mistakes in his personal life and several rather large ones since becoming governor, but he seems to be a somewhat decent politician. He understands that the state needs to make cuts, but it does not matter because the legislature had no interest in anything that could look like a victory for the governor (that everyone hates.) Paterson has done and proposed some dumb stuff, but he has no help. The state legislature is joke. That is what people should be concerned with.

And, may we ask who was on the "close friends" list receiving Paladino's, uh, e-mails?

What a disgrace. Seriously.

The GOP can't field one decent candidate for governor of the second largest state in the country?

Disgraceful on more than one level.

Area-wise it's nowhere near the top; population-wise it's third at most. (Not that these figures matter when discussing a major political race)

Wow, we shouldn't believe the reports because Democrats have been accused of falsifying emails the past. That's some sound reasoning, hey? With a mind like that, operating seemingly on the basis of guilt by association, it's clear that this man should not be in office. (On the other hand, the ability to evade an accusation without denying it, that qualifies him as a career politician. Good/bad showing, Paladino.)

I am betting that Paladino has had more than one homos%xual experience. Given his obsession with guys in speedo outfits rubbing against each other, I believe that he has actually done that before ... maybe at one of the gay bars that rent space from him. No if, ands or butts!
