Paulina Porizkova Takes On Gisele, 'ANTM' & Spitzer

Supermodel and HuffPost Game Changer Paulina Porizkova had recently lunch with the New York Post and she commented on the state of the modeling industry.

She remarked, "Gisele [Bundchen] is already a goner. She had a baby and she's not that into it anymore. She's not out there pounding the pavement anymore," and of Janice Dickinson and her plastic surgery, "She looks like a transvestite."

While talking about "America's Next Top Model," Porizkova said, "the one guarantee that you will never make it as a model is to go on that show."

Porizkova also discussed going on CNN's "Parker/Spitzer." "With Spitzer, you can't help but when you meet him go, 'eewww, creep!'" she told the Post. "You think black socks and...naked. But you speak to him and he's an intelligent man and eventually you kind of forget about seeing him the nasty way."

The "Game Changers" on here get more and more ridiculous.

This model who is clearly struggling mightily with her irrelevancy, is the latest example.

Who cares what this woman thinks?

Based on the comments here, not too many.

I'm a fan of ANTM, not because I think it's producing top models, but because it's silly and entertaining. Isn't it the same deal with any reality based talent competition? I used to be a fan of American Idol for the same reason, but they really blew it. I'm never watching American Idol again.

When Paulina was a judge on ANTM, I always felt her comments were very succinct. Sadly, most of the commentary here suggests that "we don't like out supermodels to have brains - or opinions."

The only thing I really wonder about is why this item appears as news, here, today. But that's not a criticism of Paulina.

I think Paulina Porizkova tells it like it is, according to her...but she can be really bitchy and down right mean sometimes.
Spitzer was set up. He raised the red flag on the banking system, and the derivatives, he was ready to prosecute, and that was why they went after him. That's why they had to make a big deal about his private sex life. Gross as it is, and as bad as I feel for Silda, he was on to them, and Wall Street had to stop him. They had to cut him down.

I'm not crazy about the woman or her views, but she is kinda right about ANTM. That show does not understand modeling at all, and it has given the wrong impression to others. In the fashion world models are equivalent to waiters in a hotel business. Replaceable, no very well paid and not that important. Supermodels are of course completely different, but you simply can't become a super model through a show like that.

Interesting 70s retro hairstyle. Is that coming back or is that or is that just her new thing? Ugh bad memories! My mom would get my hair cut like that when I was a kid and I always hated the way the bangs tapered at the sides and got stuck in my eye. Actually my mom would be overjoyed if I got my hair cut like that today.

Paulina sounds like a sore loser. Who cares what she thinks of Spitzer? About Gisele, well Gisele earned $25,000,000 last year. Top earning model in the world, ever. She does editorials for magazines around the world, not just the USA. I think she's super and a super-wife & super-mom.

She is a very pretty woman without a doubt.

To me she has always has come across as quite ...itchy and arrogant in interviews that I have seen with her.

She is very mean spirited in her comments about other women in the business.

Oh, please. Have you ever watched old ANTM episodes and the horrible things Janice Dickinson saidabout not only the contestants but other women in the business? If she can dish she can take it. And I think she's right about Gisele- the woman is obviously more interested in being a mother right now and that's okay- she's been modeling since she was fifteen and she's thrity now. Paulina wasn't being disparaging to her just honest.

Paulina may have been a good model in her heyday in the 80s and early 90s but she was a poor judge on ANTM.

Her commentary sometimes bordered on cruel and necessary so it didnt surprise me when I read she had been fired.
