Bristol Palin Wears Monkey Costume On 'Dancing With The Stars' Week Five (PHOTOS, POLL)

First Posted: 10/19/2010 9:16 am   Updated: 05/25/2011 6:05 pm

Bristol Palin wore a monkey costume on Monday night as part of her fifth "Dancing with the Stars" performance. It was TV Theme Week and her team got "The Monkees." She and her partner Mark Ballas took it quite literally, starting the number in full monkey suits, which they soon stripped off. Bristol revealed a flouncing, pink dress with a white collar and belt and high-heeled saddle shoes.

As you know by now, when Bristol signed up for "Dancing With The Stars," she told People magazine, "I think I will be the most dressed [contestant and have] the most modest outfits for sure because that's who I am." So we've been keeping track of her ensembles and asking you to help rank them on our "Modest Meter."

So how does her week five look -- or looks -- measure up?

Quick Poll

Is Bristol's look modest?

Yes!

Modest? Yes. Ridiculous? Even more so. Talented? Not at all.

Only on the show for the ratings, she can't dance and is not a star

I'll be happy when she gets voted off the show so I can watch again.

The monkey suit proved to be neither titilating nor modest. Had she remembered the steps, she would have shot down her detractors and proven herself a true DWTS contender.

My guess is that this dude had enough and said- Fine! You want a modest outfit, I'll put you in a gorilla suit.

I read in an article before the first show aired that she wanted to wear "fur" - I guess she got her wish.

She moves with all the grace of the Titanic trying to avoid the iceberg.

ohhh stop people - why do you hate so much...

all of the judges loved the gimmick of the suit(unfortunately the dancing was not really up to par). The girl doing this is hardly a story - Huffpo only puts it on here so you people can hate on her because you don't like her mom's politics..

Bristol Palin is only in the public eye due to her mom's politics and her own hypocrisy.

She can't seek fame on the basis of all that, then complain when she attracts criticism.

The judges are PAID to keep people watching the show, regardless of what they "love" and isn't the 'stripping' gimmick getting a little old? What are they really trying to say?

"I know outwardly I look like a beast and act like one too, but underneath I am a pretty little girl in a pink dress with a modest collar and little girl shoes"

"ohhh stop people! don't criticize me even though this is a show that is about being judged. but only judge me when I'm good please, and don't forget, I'm good for ratings"

Heather McCartney was better with one leg. She danced circles around this cow

Bristol is DWTS controversial star a la Kate Gosslin - who is not affected by viewers or judges. She is kept on the show for ratings. When she is voted off, they will reprise her role and will bring her back before the show is over. Next year, it will be Mel Gibson domestic violence victim Oksana or Dr. Laura.

I liked her better as a gorilla.

Dear God,
Please. Spare us. We've had to withstand a constant parade of costumes on this slightly overweight young woman. It's painful enough to be subject to her mother's complete idiocy and megalomania, but a gorilla costume and hot pink little orphan annie dress? Stop, I beg you.
01:41 PM on 10/19/2010
She is a nice looking young lady who don't look like a toothpick or an don't touch me I'll break female. Her and her mother were both into sports and she is not overweight at all. She looks more healthier than some of thiese walking bags of bones.
10:58 PM on 10/19/2010
When you state they are both into sports, if you are referring their hunting, I don't consider killing animals for fun with high powered rifles a sport. I teach my children to respect animals. Even the PTA speaks out on the benefit of Humane Education for children. I don't like her mother's politics or her and her mother's behavior. I am really sorry that she is on the show because I am REALLY tired of hearing about politics or anyone connect with it. The show is suppose to be entertaining and everytime Palin comes on, it takes away the enjoyment of the show.
