A Puerto Rican legislator was allegedly caught groping and kissing an ABC News student journalist during an ABC investigation into corrupt and unsavory behavior by state legislators.
During the investigation, ABC sent cameras to a party in Louisville sponsored by corporate lobbyists for a national convention of state legislators. They caught rowdy scenes of drinking and dancing -- including footage of Jorge Navarro Suarez, a lawmaker from the Puerto Rican House of Representatives.
ABC News reports:
One legislator from Puerto Rico took advantage of the festive environment to make unwanted advances on a female student journalist, groping and kissing her -all as the cameras rolled.
In a statement to ABC News, Suarez denied any improper behavior, and said he had gotten close to the woman to hear her better, since he the music was loud and he is not fluent in English.
