German rail company Deutsche Bahn introduced a new high-speed train in London this week, with plans to introduce it to the market by 2013, according to the BBC.
The train will carry passengers through the Channel Tunnel (which is only accessed by Eurostar now) and take passengers to Frankfurt, Cologne and Belgium, hopefully among other destinations.
One of the main obstacles Deutsche Bahn faces is the way the train is powered. On Eurostar trains, there is a massive car behind the conductor; on these proposed trains, the power runs beneath the train.
