Halloween Store Brings Tricks & Treats To Hospitalized Children

Young patients at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston got a sneak peek of the spookiest day of the year when volunteers from the Spirit Halloween, the largest retailer of ghoulish goods in the country, showed up with candy and costumes for burn victims.

Kathy Golden, a spokeswoman for Shriners, tells The Boston Herald:

"From superheroes to princesses -- the kids got their costumes, played games and decorated pumpkins. It was a great time."

The program, "Spirit of Children" was founded in 2006 and has raised over $2.3 million through in-store fundraising for over 100 hospitals.
