Be careful where you drive on Friday, particularly between LAX and USC, as President Obama returns to Los Angeles for a campaign trip on behalf of Democratic candidates.
Last time Obama appeared in Los Angeles, on Aug. 16, his motorcade jammed up traffic around Hollywood and the Westside for hours.
"I talked to the White House and told them we didn't want to see a repeat of what happened on his last trip," said Councilman Bill Rosendahl, who chairs the council's Transportation Committee and whose district includes the Westside.
"They were understanding and said they would take that in consideration."
