U.S. Airmen Volunteer At School In Kyrgyzstan

When they're not flying over Afghanistan, airmen from Fairchild Air Force Base are helping local children at The Soliska School in Kyrgyzstan.

KYLY reports that parents of the school's students make a little more than a dollar a day. The school's principal, Manzura Kushbaeva, says that visits and volunteer work from the airmen make a huge difference for her school and students:

"Every time the air base representatives comes here they bring many supplies, and quite recently the air base replaced windows in the amount of ten thousand dollars."
