The Partisans Salute 'The Rent Is Too Damn High' & Other Third Parties (VIDEO)

By now you've probably seen New York gubernatorial candidate Jimmy McMillan's ringing endorsement of The Rent Is Too Damn High party, the first political party to stand so exclusively for renters' rights in hard economic times. The Second City Network's political comedy group The Partisans were so inspired by McMillan's movement, they made this satire praising he and all third party members. They thank them not only for standing up for what really matters but for leaving accusations of socialism and bans on gay marriage to the rest of them.

"America's Third Parties (and fourth, and fifth, and so on) are more than the crazy uncle that shows up to the Halloween party and pees in the punch," The Second City's YouTube page reads. "They're groups that may give our Democracy new hope in an era of gridlock and no-nothing activism."

Of course, McMillan's amazing facial hair and signature gloves are parodied to perfection in this video, but The Partisans have an excellent point too: "Nothing sounds crazier than politicians discussing sh*t you actually care about."
