John Boehner Donated $2K More Than Previously Reported To Rich Iott, Candidate Who Dressed As Nazi

John Boener Rich Iott

House Minority Leader John Boehner gave more than $2,000 than previously reported to Rich Iott, the Ohio Republican Congressional candidate who fell out of the GOP's good graces after being photographed dressing up as a Nazi officer during World War II re-enactments.

New campaign filings show that Friends of John Boehner, the Minority Leader's campaign committee, made a $2,000 donation to Iott for Congress 2010 on October 5, 2010. Previously, it had been reported that Boehner's political action committee, Freedom Project, had given $5,000 to Iott on September 22.

When pictures of Iott dressed up as an SS officer emerged on October 8, various members of the Republican Party, including those in House leadership, sought to distance themselves from the candidate. Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.), the lone Jewish Republican in the House, said he could not condone the act of donning Nazi garb, which Iott said was done out of historical interest.

Boehner was pressed by Democratic officials to ask for his donation to be rescinded. But a spokesman for the PAC, Don Seymour, declined to go along with that request.

here's an idea;

If you're planning a career in politics, maybe you should let someone else play the nazi.

The nice thing about this election season is that we are clearly seeing people for who they really are. This move by Boener is no surprise to me. I am not shocked or bothered in the least. I am seeing in my community who I will be social with and who I will not. I told one of my neighbors the day after Obama won the Presidency, to get ready for the most racist, crazy and hateful stuff you have seen in a long time. The thought that all of this is manifesting such division is sad for many but not for me. I like to know who I need to stay away from. But I let it be know they better keep their bigotry to themselves and away from my family and I. It's not like we were all asleep in world of delusion thinking we had really put hate behind us. So what I say is clean out your address book and move on. Don't just throw the bum's out of Washington, throw them out of your life as well. I have some bigoted relatives that I have told they are no longer welcome in my home. I told them "you are dead to me Fredo" but I mean what I say. It is really time to clean house. I think if all who are without hate in heart should set the example, lets not be silent while these buffoons rant on. This is my response to them.

I guess twisted minds think alike......

The tan man supports anything that will get him elected.

So what this article is saying is, if Iott wins, there will be 1 Jewish and 1 Nazi (dresser-upper) Republican in the House... now if that isn't the diverse party that the Republicans are always touting (with their shadowy multitudes of gay and black conservatives that are spoken for but never seem to be caught on camera in any numbers), what is?

There are better issues to be arguing than that of a "historical re-enactment". Unless it involved white robes and a pointy hat, I'm not going to be terribly offended.
Let's stick with real arguments, like, "republicans have yet to propose any philosophy that would make them different from the last time they had the keys to our country" and "republicans. Is it me or are they all f-ing crazy?"

What an odd line to draw. Nazi's are O.K... KKK is not...

Why can't they both be totally unacceptable genocidally-minded bigots who deserve, at best, our condemnation and utter disavowment as a society?

The GOP locked up tight with the "Nazi reinactor" perfect ad for 2010.

I do not know what the GOP's bone is with Iott.

I mean - they have done everything to drag us into state of the art fascism. Now they balk at someone being honest enough to dress as one?

Weird.

Why don't you use the guy dressed up as a nazi pics? The last couple posts of this have him dressed up as a union soldier and you talk about him dressed up like a nazi? That doesn't make any sense.

As I have stated before, and shall again, this money was not meant for the campaign, but a fitting for Boehner. He wanted something that says Teabbagger, yet also Republican, and still remain subtle and timeless for his ascension to the speakerHOOD. Now I hope this clears things up.... Nothing to see here, move along or you will be tased bro!

What?..... Are you expecting anything else? Show me the person who couldn't see this man for who and what he really is. It's shocking the number of people who don't see that party for what it really is!

It's the breeding ground for hate and fear mongering. Everyone know that! It's no mystery left in that party. None.
