Lillian McEwen, Clarence Thomas' Ex-Girlfriend, Talks About His Porn, Breast Preferences, Hill Controversy

Lillian Mcewen Clarence Thomas Ex Girlfriend

In the wake of news that Virginia Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, recently contacted Anita Hill, the woman behind a sexual harassment scandal that almost derailed the Justice during his confirmation hearings, Thomas's ex-girlfriend is now seeking to enter the fray with serious new allegations about his demeanor in the years before the Hill controversy. In an interview with the Washington Post, Lillian McEwen says Hill's allegations fit a pattern:

"He was always actively watching the women he worked with to see if they could be potential partners," McEwen told the Post, adding that he was particularly "partial to women with large breasts" and even would ask woman about their bra size.

"He was obsessed with porn," McEwen also said of Thomas, a claim that is particularly relevant to Hill's allegations that the then-chairman of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission had repeatedly relayed scenes from pornographic movies to her. "He would talk about what he had seen in magazines and films, if there was something worth noting," McEwen continued.

As for why McEwen has decided to break her silence now, the Post explains that the woman who partook in Thomas's "freewheeling sex life" between 1981 and 1986 has a story to tell.

She has written a memoir, which she is now shopping to publishers. News broke that the justice's wife, Virginia Thomas, left a voice mail on Hill's office phone at Brandeis University, seeking an apology -- a request that Hill declined in a statement. After that, McEwen changed her mind and decided to talk about her relationship with Thomas.

Justice Thomas needs to revitalize his career with a sex tape, which seems to work for tarnished celebrities. Perhaps he could call it "Retire to my Chambers"...

“LILLIAN McEWEN TALKS

Lillian McEwen, the former girlfriend of Clarence Thomas, was on Larry King tonight.
She's reasonably credible, reflective, "parsing her words" (to use her own often
repeated term about both Thomas and Hill's 1991 testimonies). She believes that
Ginny Thomas was motivated by "angst" to call Anita Hill because "she thought
that she was helping her husband."

McEwen that she wouldn't have supported Thomas for SCOTUS due to what she
saw as his "instability." She describes a man who was a very heavy alcohol user,
who may have been "alcoholic", but who did a "white knuckle" sobriety without any
formal recovery or counseling. This resulted in him being often irritable and angry,
cranky, and overly sensitive. She described him as have odd "sexual preferences"
although she didn't "feel comfortable" elaborating on these.

Of most importance during the interview was McEwen's explanation about the
style which Thomas has shown on the SCOTUS. She perceives that he bases
his decisions on a belief that he's helping his "friends" or "punishing" his "enemies."”

This man should in no way be a member on the highest court of the land.He doesn't know what sexual harassment is????? He doesn't know enough to recluse himself from cases that he ethically should have?????? It is things like this happening that makes people not believe in fairness and justice as sometimes it seems there is none as this goes to show.

While I certainly believe McEwen and Hill this is truly a moot point. Thomas has secured a life time appointment which he obviously doesn't deserve. Regardless of the reason behind the phone call made by his wife the results certainly can't be what she expected. Instead of "shaming" Anita Hill into an apology she has reopened a wound that Clarance himself couldn't possibly want to revisit. The now famous Mrs. Thomas is having to hide out in order to prevent further damage to both her career and whatever remains of her husband's reputation.

Jeez. Maybe we know, now, what Clarence is doing under his judicial robes during case arguments, and that's why he never asks a question. Ya think?

You are correct. We worked on the House side at the time leading up to Thomas'
confirmation hearing for the Court of Appeals. Our committee did oversight of his leadership at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and knew a lot about him and his right leaning policies. We warned the Senate staff and groups that Thomas was on a fast track to the
Supreme Court and that they needed to stop him. Since the Senate did not do much oversight at that time, we knew a lot more than they, but we were largely ignored. We saw it coming. I
believe the groups and Senators were afraid to be called racist, so they pulled their punches until it was too late. I heard Thomas promised the head of one of the groups on her deathbed that he would do the right thing. She must be turning in her grave now.

FYI

Justice Clarence Thomas worked as an attorney for MONSANTO in the 1970s. Thomas wrote the majority opinion in the 2001 Supreme Court decision J. E. M. Ag Supply, Inc. v. Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc, etc which found that “newly developed plant breeds are patentable under the general utility patent laws of the United States.” This case benefited all companies which profit from genetically modified crops, of which Monsanto is one of the largest.

this decision has also led to Monsanto et al suing innocent farmers whose crops have become adulterated by downwind blow-by of the patented "product"----you guessed it: patent infringement. Thanks, Clarence

Anita Thomas took a lie detector test regarding all of her allegations and passed.

Clarence Thomas refused....and then defended himself with two decks of race cards.

I wonder if George Bush the father regrets having appointed this guy. I remember GHWB being temperate and hesitant to go as far in his policies as the red meaters wanted him to, resulting in their frustration with him.

Clarence Thomas was mentored by Mo. Senator John Danforth, who at the time seemed like
a moderate Republican. I am ashamed to admit that I voted for Danforth every time he ran.
He did not run again after the Thomas confirmation, but I believe he wrote a stupid book about
the "ordeal."

Before anyone had seen Virginia Thomas on television, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Senator
and Mrs. Danforth were praying together and singing "Onward Christian Soldiers" together.
You couldn't make this stuff up.

The whole thing was truly a "Bonfire of the Vanities." Wish I knew if the "Nina" who posted
here yesterday was Nina Totenberg of NPR. Totenberg broke the Anita HIll story.

What's happened to us??

George Bush at that time called Clarence Thomas "the most qualified (person of color) for the Supreme Court." Colleagues of Thomas at Yale Law School were appalled. "This is sooooo cynical," one sighed to me. As to the Judge's veracity: in his book, he said Ms. Hill, whom he denigrated, was at best a modestly competent employee. YET, she was competent enough for him to ask her to follow him to the EEOC. They were working together at HEW's office of Civil Rights at the time. He's a dissembler who should have recused himself from the Montsano case and probably many others.

The wife has done the morbid damage to the Justice what more is left, nothing. The Justice has either to quit the job or to take leave to report to GOD which ever is less costly.

Yeah! This is called like wife like Justice. What about hill, will that be difficult to surmount and clear. Whatever mountain or hill , a try would not be unwise to surmount the difficulty after all it is a question of prestige honor and dignity of the Justice's family life.
10:30 PM on 10/25/2010
Thomas does not in any shape or form deserves to be called a "judge." He is a disgrace to the Supreme Court, blacks and this country. He should either step down or be impeached. What a travesty and a loss for the highest court to have someone in it with no his level of intellect, or lack thereof.
