Vintage clothing is all the rage these days. Whether you are on the prowl for a Joan Holloway dress or a unique engagement ring for your beau, Chicago's annual vintage showcase--Modern Vintage Chicago--will have it all.
Hundreds of vendors from across the country have headed to Chicago for this event two years in a row, and organizers are expecting the third time to be a charm.
"This is the perfect girlfriend outing," producer Sally Schwartz said. "Our bargain savvy shoppers come early, grab tea or a mimosa, and spend quality time looking for right pieces to compliment their wardrobes."
Those looking for fancier duds will find mink coats, designer handbags and fine jewelry. There will also be plenty of affordable hats, shoes, scarves, coats, dresses and more.
Modern Vintage Chicago runs Saturday, October 23rd and Sunday October 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Beaux Arts Plumber's Hall, 1340 W. Washington St. If you purchase tickets online, admission is $9 and $10 at the door. Four tickets or more purchased online gets you free mimosas at the event
