Joan Collins Explains Jennifer Aniston Insults

Jennifer Aniston Joan Collins

Joan Collins is trying to explain why she told a British magazine that Jennifer Aniston is cute, but not beautiful like Angelina Jolie.

Collins tells The Awful Truth her comments were taken out of context but doesn't deny the Jen/Angelina comparison:

"The bottom line is that I talked about several actresses, among them Catherine Zeta-Jones, Scarlett Johansson and Megan Fox. Unfortunately, everybody got cut out [except Aniston and Jolie]. Typical. That's the way it goes."

Aniston's camp has acknowledged Collins' comments, saying there is "no need to engage with that nonsense."

Sorry to her fans, but I don't find Jennifer Aniston particularly attractive. I think the main reason people think she is is because they are told that by the media and film biz. Maybe you have to be born in America to appreciate this so-called "beauty", but personally, I expect her to be serving scrambled eggs in a diner somewhere. Or working the cash at a K-Mart, because she's as plain Jane as her hair. Since people are always comparing them, Jolie is certainly more physically attractive, but her personality certainly isn't. If I had the chance to go on a date with either of them, I'd rather watch old Simpsons episodes. Hokay, flame away, boys!

Personally I think Aniston is both cute and beautiful and I do not find Jolie attractive in anyway. She was a step down for Pitt!

That is just an opinion nlot fact........

I guess it's all a matter of personal taste, but Jolie has always looked to me as though she has had an allergic reaction to something, causing her mouth to swell up. Aniston has good looks plus a pleasing personality which will serve her well in the long run, giving her photogenic longevity that I don't believe Jolie can carry off. No doubt we'll be talking about Jolie's multiple mega plastic surgeries in a few years' time just as we currently take note of Joan Collins' extensive refinishing. I wish we had the tolerance for for the loveliness of maturity that they seem to enjoy in other cultures. We're just spoiled rotten by relentlessly photoshopped images and ever younger starlets.

Jolie has always had very full lips (do a search of her photos as a teen). Her lips may have even been reduced surgically, as her nose has been. Her cheekbones are also different from those teen photos. Clint Eastwood may think she is the most beautiful woman in the world, but she did not come by all of her features naturally.

Remember that episode of Star Trek "City on the Edge of Forever"? Collins looked like she was filmed through three layers of cheesecloth. When they cut from Dr. McCoy's rugged country face to Joan Collins, it's almost a mental exercise to try to figure out what you're seeing. "Is that a woman somewhere behind all those cobwebs? Is something wrong with my television?" They filmed that in 1967. I'm no mathematician, but that's like almost a thousand years ago. Anyway, it was a good episode, but I never cared much for Joan Collins. And this concludes my bizarrely off-topic posting.

Crystal Carrington is much more beautiful than Alexis Carrington. She's nicer too!!!!

Jolie looks old and in need of a bath and Jennifer is ageing well and looks more beautiful each year.
Joan needs to spend less time with her plastic surgeon.

It wasn't necessary to say, but was completely true. So stop attacking Joan, she looks great for her age. Jolie is a gorgeous natural beauty and a great actress. Aniston is cute and continues to play Rachel in every movie role! (Dear Jennifer, pick a role completely out of character where you have to be butt ugly and make the audience cry. It worked for Cameron Diaz, another stunner).

Bottom line: which would guys rather spend some quality time with?
I'm confident Jennifer wins.

Also, have you ever heard or seen a report of Jennifer bashing anyone in Hollywood? She knows how to be discreet and is the definition of class that all in Hollywood should aspire to.

The next time Joan Collins is at the plastic surgeon she should ask to have the fork in her tongue removed.......

Angie is beautiful, Anniston is cute.

Ofcourse if you name Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston of all it's going to be blown up into something big. Whatever, Charlize Theron for one, is way more beautiful and talented than both those overhyped women if you ask me.

Agreed, Jolie always appears homely, I use to think she was much more attractive during the time of Tomb Raider, but now she just looks old and emaciated.

The thing that annoys me is that Collins herself was never beautiful, and not even cute. I'd rate her at "good looking" and "kinda sexy" in her prime. The furthest she got toward being beautiful is the kind of "beauty" that drag queens aspire towards. Today there's nothing left of her looks but stretched-thin canvas with a shitload of paint and a wig. Jolie isn't any more beautiful that Aniston, she is just completely void of cuteness. Where Aniston is cute, Jolie has a distinct and elegant look. As far as a lack of beautiful actresses go, most of the stars from Collins' prime would never make the 'cut' today. The best from then were cute with an old-fashioned elegance, few were truly beautiful. Perhaps the old diva is growing blind, or, perhaps, it's that elegance she's really referring to? Today, beautiful actresses are commonplace, but elegance is a rarity.

You are ridiculous. Collins was stunning as a young actress. In fact, she was too beautiful for many girl-next-door roles, which I think hindered her career.
09:04 PM on 10/27/2010
I'm not saying she wasn't pretty in a bikini during the 1950's. I'm saying she wasn't a beauty according to her own standards, and far from it. I guess I'll have to admit that she didn't start looking like a drag queen until the mid 1960's. However, her prettiness as a young woman was completely generic, void of any distinctive feature. When, after a short glance, all a witness can say about you is "pretty brunette", or even "beautiful brunette", then it isn't true beauty. Now, if Aniston robbed a bank in front of me, I'd be able to give a good description - even if I'd never seen her before. That's because she's more than just "pretty".

Here are some examples of ridiculous: "Jessica Alba isn't beautiful, just cute". Or "Natalie Portman isn't beautiful". Or Milla Jovovich. Or Lucy Liu. Or Keira Knightley. And these are women you could actually describe with more than two words, even after the shortest of glances. And they are rare. Actresses with the generic prettiness of young Joan Collins are exceedingly common, and these days usually relegated to daytime TV, dime-a-dozen sit-coms, TV movies, peripheral roles, and the like.

Joan Collins is absolutely right. Angelina Jolie is beautiful and Jennifer Aniston is just cute. End of story!

Declaring someone "cute" is hardly an insult. But many of the comments on Joan are questionable. Remember young 'uns, if you're lucky you'll live to be Joan's age--let's hope you have even half her beauty, accomplishments, and wealth!

Old, plastic, sporting drag make up, and a wig at all times? Naah!

Camille Cosby. Now that's an "older woman" who personifies graceful natural beauty.
08:33 AM on 10/27/2010
She said " i do'nt call her beautiful". Then if that not insulting, why you are concern about 90 years old woman, weather people call her buety or not? Do'nt contradict yourself.

She said Aniston was "cute." That is not an insult.

Are you implying we shouldn't care about older people? And Miss Collins is in her late seventies, I believe, not 90.
