Slain American University Professor's Car Found

The 1999 tan Jeep belonging to slain American University professor Sue Marcum was recovered after a chase Monday night, according to the Associated Press.

Marcum, 52, was found dead in her Bethesda home Monday morning in what has been classified as a potential homicide. Police said there were indications of forced entry into her house and her car was missing.

The AP reports that Marcum's Jeep was being driven by an 18-year-old who has since been apprehended.

According to the American University Eagle, Marcum, a taxation professor in the Kogod School of Business, was a "beloved" instructor. She had been teaching at the school since 1999.
