Nothing Lasts Forever: Choreographer Yasuko Yokoshi Makes Chicago Debut

Yasuko Yokoshi makes her Chicago debut this week with her newest show "Tyler Tyler." Yokoshi is a choreographer from New York who fuses modern Western dance and traditional Japanese Kabuki in her performances.

"Tyler Tyler" has a central theme of the Buddhist law of impermanence--a philosophical idea that nothing lasts forever. This theme is important to Yokoshi because she was born and raised in Hiroshima, according to the a Columbia College Chicago profile of the performance. Her show will run from Oct. 28 to Oct. 30.
