Chicago Woman Saves Car Accident Victim, Again

Chicago's Connie Odoms is making a habit out of stopping to help victims on the side of the road, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Five years ago, Odoms helped a woman injured when her car crashed into a telephone pole. On Tuesday, the scenario was much more bizarre, but Odoms didn't hesitate to pull over and help another car crash victim:

A woman was trapped inside, her body impaled by a large tree branch that had broken off and punched through the window as high winds hit the area. When cars kept passing, Odoms said she pulled over and helped the driver, Helen Miller, 41. About that time, other motorists also stopped.

Odoms calmed Miller down and called 911 for an ambulance. Miller survived her surgery, and her husband says she's in good spirits.
