Are you a lady? Do you like paddle boarding? Of course you do! Who doesn't like paddle boarding--wait, you've never heard of paddle boarding? Paddle boarding is a fantastic workout that involves STANDING on what looks like a large surfboard and using a single ore to glide across the water. Check out the beautiful scenery of Long Island's Peconic River with the Paddle Diva's.
The Paddle Diva's are a group of women dedicated to introducing more ladies to the sport, which, as you are well aware, is heavily male-dominated. They offer both private and group lessons starting at the novice level and working up to stand-up paddle-boarding surfing lessons.
Saturday, October 30th, join the women for a special Fall Adventure Tour. You start the paddle in Calverton and finish in the town of Riverhead, Long island. You will weave through bogs and wetlands as well as fresh water. It is a slow-moving river so don't worry about rocky seas. While you paddle you will learn more about the river and the wildlife. A sandwich lunch from "Mary's Marvelous" is also part of the package.
