Illinois Governor's Race: Pat Quinn And Bill Brady At Their Best, Worst (PHOTOS)

Posted: Updated:

Even before February, the race for Illinois governor was brutal.

Impeached Governor Rod Blagojevich had been arrested, and people were looking for change. Pat Quinn, who was Blagojevich's lieutenant governor, took over and geared up for a campaign of his own. Facing a tough primary opponent in Democrat Dan Hynes, Quinn powered through. Though the numbers have not always been on his side, Quinn plans on doing the same Tuesday.

The Republican primary may not have gotten as nasty--but it was even closer. State Senator Bill Brady won by only 193 votes over State Sen. Kirk Dillard. After the primary, some of Brady's far-right views came to light, but they have not prevented him from maintaining a lead over Quinn for many months.

We rounded up the best and the worst of the candidates for Illinois governor.
