PHOTOS: New York Campaigns End As Votes Come In

The candidates for all major New York races made their last campaign stops this morning to vote, and are now retiring until the tallies come in. Andrew Cuomo said he would spend Tuesday at his desk as attorney general, and his opponent Carl Paladino said he would be taking a nap.

Dan Donovan, the Republican candidate for attorney general who has risen in polls recently, closed out the campaign this morning in Grand Central with former mayor Ed Koch.

Mayor Bloomberg stopped by his polling place early this morning and made sure to vote with a "privacy sleeve" to ensure his vote was secret (did anyone else get a privacy sleeve?) The mayor, who had previously been a staunch critic of the board of education's mishandling of the primary (in his words a "royal screw up") was pleased with the voting experience today.

"In all fairness the people at my polling booth were as friendly as could be," Bloomberg said. "They were as helpful as could be. They told me to be sure to turn the ballot over at look at the questions on the back. It did work fine. I didn't have any problems."
