Laurie David appeared on the Today Show this morning to chat about her new book, The Family Dinner, with Matt Lauer (read her recent HuffPost piece on the subject here). On the importance of the family dinner, Laurie explained, "We have to grab the rituals -- the things that our parents and grandparents knew worked. This is how you raise kids, this is how you civilize children!"
Laurie showed Matt Lauer the basic set-up for a fun family dinner from the book, Thai chicken wraps, which everyone in the family can help prepare and are assembled at the table. She also advocated the use of a lazy Susan at the dinner table to make "every meal more fun," which sounds about right to us.
