Stages And Host Cities Announced For Inaugural Quizno's Pro Challenge

Governor Bill Ritter, along with former Bronco Shannon Sharpe and a handful of pro cyclists, announced on Thursday morning the stages for the inaugural Quiznos Pro Challenge next August.

The race will start in Colorado Springs before crisscrossing its way across 12 host cities in Colorado over 7 days.

Ritter, himself an avid cyclist, announced the race in August with cycling legend and Aspen resident Lance Armstrong. The Quiznos Pro Challenge represents the return of major pro cycling to Colorado for the first time since the last Coors Classic race in 1988.

Arsmstrong said he expected the race to attract the top European cyclists.
