The Sun Putting Banknotes Into Copies Of Newspaper

Rupert Murdoch Will PAY You To Buy This Newspaper

News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch feels very strongly that people should pay for the content his company's newspapers produce...in the U.K., he's taken this position to an extreme, demanding that readers of the Times and the News of the World pay to access anything on the papers' websites.

But what the old newspaperman in Murdoch really dreams of is selling more newspapers, and to do that, he's willing to stand principle on its head. The Sun, News Corp.'s only remaining newspaper without an online paywall, is now, in effect, bribing people to buy copies. "We're putting real banknotes into thousands of copies of The Sun on Saturday!" the paper announced on Twitter. "Make sure to buy your copy."
