Tim Tebow Memoir Set For Publication By HarperCollins In April

Tim Tebow may be relegated to a few snaps per game on an increasingly lackluster Denver Broncos team, but that fact isn't persuading HarperCollins that his story isn't worth telling.

According to a tweet from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the publishing giant plans to release the 23-year-old's memoirs in April of next year.

HarperCollins will publish Tim Tebow's memoir, Through My Eyes, in April 2011. Nathan Whitaker, Tony Dungy's ghostwriter, will co-write it.

Tebow, one of the most celebrated college athletes of all time, was drafted by the Broncos in the first round of this year's NFL draft. He has thus far served as a backup to veteran Kyle Orton, but has nonetheless scored endorsement deals with companies like Jockey underwear, and led the league in jersey sales.

Tebow, an Evangelical Christian who has performed missionary work around the world, filmed a 2010 Superbowl ad for the conservative Christian group Focus on the Family.

Dungy, the former Indianapolis Colts coach who, in 2007, became the first African American coach to win a Superbowl, saw his book climb to number one on the New York Times Bestsellers list for hardcover nonfiction in 2007.

In a statement Monday morning, Tebow said his book would be a story "of faith, family and football" and inspiring people to "fulfill their dreams."
