Gunshot Victim Identifies Shooter On His Deathbed

A gunshot victim's deathbed identification of his shooter led to the arrest of his killer.

Lawrence Stubbs, 19, was gunned down by two men in his South Side home on October 13, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. His friend was also wounded in the shooting.

Stubbs, who was shot in the back, reportedly told police before he died that 22-year-old Cordero Amos shot him, the Sun-Times reports.

Robert Butler, 22, was the second gunman and has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, according to police News Affairs.

Amos was arrested last week and also charged with first-degree murder.

A motive in the slaying was unknown.
