Bobby Jindal Book Slams Obama's Handling Of Oil Spill

Bobby Jindal Obama Book

While much has been made about former president George W. Bush's refusal to criticize President Obama in his recent book, apparently sitting governors with potential presidential aspirations of their own don't feel bound by similar rules.

Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana (R) is out with a new book just in time for pre-2012 election season that largely bypasses professional courtesy for an unsparing admonishment of the president's handling of the BP oil spill in the Gulf.

At the forefront of Jindal's swipe is Obama's demeanor upon touching down in Louisiana, a trip that he supposedly kicked off with a warning to Jindal over the poorly perceived tone of a letter the governor wrote to the White House asking for help.

"Careful," Obama warned Jindal in the book, according to Politico's report. "This is going to get bad for everyone."

Meanwhile, Obama's then-chief of staff Rahm Emanuel was giving Jindal's chief of staff an earful:

"If you have a problem pick up the f-n' phone," Jindal recounts Emanuel telling his staffer.

Jindal continues his criticism of the Obama visit, characterizing it as a press stunt, and then blasting the president's response to Jindal's opposition to an offshore oil drilling moratorium, a stance that Obama seemed to think was more about appearing compassionate than actually about his concern over its economic impact.

"The human element seemed invisible to the White House," Jinal writes, according to Politico. "Political posturing becomes more important than reality."

An earlier advanced look of Jindal's book showed that he also tackled the delicate topic of "Men Behaving Badly," a segment that lambasted the not uncommon intersection of infidelity and politics. Notably, however, Jindal managed to leave out former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, who has kind words about the book on its back cover, and Sen. David Vitter, a fellow Louisiana Republican.

BJ clashes with one on the teahadist tennents;states rights... why should they want help from the Feds, they want to cry for assistance while at the same time saying that the oil was "natural" and they should be able to drill ASAP; not even considering the loss of the workers.
In this instance, Rahm Emanuel was right... BJ mad because he was spoken to roughly; not wanting to use the words "Man  Read More...

Why is Piyush Jindal so ashamed of his heritage that he took the American sounding name "Bobby"?

OMG, I watched Jindahl on Morning Joe and he has a serious problem. He just spoke so fast I had to wonder if his meds were out of line. He made us pretty nervous with his fast talking. What the heck! Then he looks into the camera and smiles at you and I have to tell ya, we had to turn the channel because it was just a bit too gross for us. Palin the night before and then fast talking Jindahl the next morning. The repubs need to simmer down a bit.

You're just used to hearing the Professor sputter about and stutter and say "uh" a zillion times .... unless of course his trusty teleprompters are fired up and telling him wahat to say.

From Harper's Index:

• Value of economic recovery bonds the State of Louisiana has sold since Hurricane Katrina: $5,900,000,000

• Percentage of the revenue that has been spent on projects in New Orleans: 1

• On the state's oil industry: 29

. . . .

Of course, Jindal hasn't been the governor for long, and both parties have screwed up that state and New Orleans. And . . . Bush's response to Katrina was nothing short of criminally negligent. But, sheeesh. Nearly 6 billion in bonds and just 1% going to New Orleans? This should be a major scandal. But, instead, we're talking about he said, she said . . .

louisiana has been turned into a real 3rd world oil-colony.

we are apparently not worthy of jobs AND a clean environment. and increasingly, those jobs are paying us less and less as the corporations sqeeuze every penny our of us until we look like Nigeria:

Anyone ever see Jindal's Republican rebuttal speech? Ever seen him posing with a giant check, taking credit for money he had fought tooth and nail?

Jindal's at best, an idiot, and we really don't need to talk about him anymore, do we?

Bobby Jindal spends half his time whining that big government is too big and half his time whining that big government needs to spend more time and effort bailing out his state.

They have really bad taste in politicians down south.

"Hi! I'm Bobby Jindal!"
I will never be able to get that ridiculous image of little Bobby failing miserably to give the response to the State of the Union speech. I have a feeling a lot of Americans won't...which is why I can't imagine him being a serious contender for the Presidency. Where did he practice that speech? At Chuck-E-Cheese?

Oh, Bobby "Brady". You were a joke from the start, especially when you renamed yourself Bobby from watching The Brady Bunch. You bash The President until your next encounter and sneak another letter to him, like your boys, Rick Perry and Haley Barbour to request for money.

Where's the money from BP to deploy the 6000 national guards, which you only sent about 1000, approx. $25 million, also Haley Barbour did the same?
