Bobby Jindal President

Bobby Jindal says he will not run for president in 2012.

"I'm not being coy at all. I'm not running for president in 2012. Period. No ifs, ands or buts, no caveats," the Louisiana governor told the Associated Press.

Jindal has been promoting his book "Leadership and Crisis," in which he criticizes the Obama administration for its handling of the Gulf Oil Spill. The White House firmly rejects Jindal's charges.

Jindal also lays into philandering politicians in a chapter titled "Men Behaving Badly," but he spares two important Republicans any criticism.

What a shock! Maybe the Republican party should recruit from a modern state. Lousianna should be past over since they cannot even deal with their states problems.

Can I post on this thread? The Bloomberg/S'borough thread is pretty backlogged. Lots of JS fans...heh...
Anyway, no way would the tp vote for him. But I laughed my butt off at Tweety's reaction when Jindal gave his response after the SOTU speech.

I would say he's too inept to consider the presidency, but then I remember 8 years of W.

He is a smart energetic guy but he doesn’t appear to have the maturity needed for the presidency. He echoes the GOP line cut, taxes, reduce spending, smaller government and like all Republicans never explains how to do it. If he ever gets his own head with his own ideas he will be a contender.

Jindal is energetic and ambitious; he's not necessarily smart. Indeed, his running of Louisiana leaves much to be desired. As for his becoming a viable contender, that's as desirable as a future President Palin. And, sorry, he is what he is--Jindal isn't merely aping the far right agenda, he's espousing it.

Your lead headline on the link made me think Bobby was trying to decide to come out in 2012.

He has to destroy Louisiana first, just to prove he is ruthless enough to be republican.
