Willow Palin Facebook Posts

Willow Palin, the 16-year-old daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, wrote multiple Facebook posts containing homophobic slurs such as "faggot" on Sunday night, according to TMZ.

The web site reports that Palin's teenage daughter wrote the comments on Sunday night, when her mother's television show "Sarah Palin's Alaska" premiered on TLC. According to TMZ, a classmate of one of Palin's children published a Facebook update claiming that the show "is failing so hard right now."

Willow Palin reportedly unloaded on the student, calling him "so gay" and "such a faggot." She later demanded that the student "quit talkin shit about my family." According to screenshots obtained by TMZ, the 16-year-old called another commenter on the Facebook thread a "low life loser" and lashed out at multiple others, writing, "Sorry that all you guys are jealous of my families success and you guys aren't goin to go anywhere with your lives."

For more information, check out TMZ's full report and scroll down for the screenshots of the Facebook conversation.

And the people here defending these facebook post as typical 16 year old behavior only proves the point that to many American parents are not involved enough in their child’s lives, and because of that they are able to act and behave anyway they see fit.

Just proves how bad Sarah Palin is failing as a mother. Not that any mother is expected to monitor every move a teenager makes. But with a profile like that, you would think Mrs. Palins publicist would have coached the family. or maybe that is what they did and "allow" it to happen. For "there is no such thing as bad press".

I have a 16 year old daughter who has a facebook account and I can guarantee that she would NOT be talking this way.

She was taught and raised to ignore such pity BS. Words are nothing but words and when someone says such things they are only trying to get a rise out of you and when you respond in a similar fashion then they have achieved their goal.

And also she knows that she has parents who care enough about her to actually monitor her online activities.

Also: doesn't she KNOW that whenever she makes posts like this, SOMEHOW, /someone/ will get hold of them and kick them to the Interwebs? Seriously, I agree that a lot of teens talk like this (unfortunately) but not all teens are the children of Sarah Palin, in the face of vast media coverage and a high propensity for scandal.

Oh, dear god...another Palin scandal? Here's an idea: maybe if we stop commenting, they'll shut up and go away.

I bet "Mama Grizzly" is real proud of her daughter Willow. She will be saying how "Bold" Willow is and tell her to "Re-Load".............How pathetic!

What an awful rag this paper must be. To have no other worthy news to report other than a 15 year old girl trying to defend her family. All the kids involved were using language I wouldn't, but if you pick 10 kids in high school across America and read their Facebook, you would see a lot of the same.
Didn't you get Obama's memo that kids are off limits? Or does that just pertain to his? You are aware of our government's out of control spending, unprotected borders, record unemployment, and high rising gas costs on which you could report, but you choose to pick on a young high school girl that's under a lot peer pressure like every adolescent and you want to add to it. Ridiculous and mean spirited.

They're only words, get over it. She's a normal 16 defending her family.

i think the cat is out of the bag on this deeply christian moral family.

Okay, I'll try posting again, though my comment got deleted before.

This is normal teenage behavior. Normal teenage words. It does not mean that Willow is "homophobic". She was being a typical 16-year-old overreacting to defend her family. Seriously, this should not have even made the news.
Also, the things were said to Bristol and Willow were cruel, insulting, and insensitive. She shouldn't have used such harsh words, but I almost don't blame them for reacting the way they did.
Normal. Adolescent. Behavior.

And no, I do not support Sarah Palin for president.

Even if it is "normal" that doesn't make it right. Sure, lots of teenagers use words like this - but it is incredibly hurtful language, and it's part of the reason so many gay kids really struggle in high school. It is NEVER okay to use language like this. It's hate speech and it's homophobia.

I can both agree and disagree on this... on the one hand, she's really just using them as generic insults, something an unfortunately large number of people do.

But on the other hand, she damn well knows what those words also mean in other contexts, and the fact that she thinks she CAN use them as generic insults, is somewhat telling. Sure, she could have picked it up in high school, but did her mother never correct her on how to speak with poise in public? Apparently not.

This is one of those rare cases where Mama Palin may actually be smarter than her offspring: at least I haven't heard any cases of Sarah using homophobic slurs as generic insults!

After all the buildup on this- I'm pretty surprised that it just looks a lot like regular 16-year-olds arguing. Who would have thought?

Hey Huff, why? I mean seriously, why?

The apple does'nt fall far from the tree. If she uses those words with ease maybe her mom uses it in private, so she thinks nothing of it.

Trash talk is emblematic of the times. It truly is sad. It says something about what our culture has devolved into. No one cares about intellectuality or few do. The young learn profanity from an early age and use it abundantly. I was part of the late 60's generation in college who changed things. I still believe in that change BUT I regret freeing up the quality of verbiage used in argument. I regret that it became OK to use the worst profanity. Now as humans usually do it has gone to a new level. The incivility of dialogue reflects the behavior it sometimes evokes. I too am guilty of using profanity and I regret it. It is hard EVER so hard to put the Jeannie back in the bottle once it is let lose. When a president or VP in BOTH parties are overheard uttering similar words it has become the norm.

I would LOVE to change the coarseness of dialogue found EVERYWHERE now. They even developed a radio station -- Sirius and XM specifically so they can say whatever they want. It is sad indeed as our country fractures and splits right down the middle. I see an end in sight which I NEVER on planet earth thought I would ever see. Wake up America, before it indeed is too late!
